Student Stories

Throughout this journey, I found myself torn between pushing forward and wanting to pause … What truly kept me going were my kids. I wanted to be a positive influence in their lives, no matter how tough things got. I can't express enough how grateful I am for my support system—my mom, dad, and sister. They were always there, encouraging me and holding me accountable. Their support means the world to me, and I will be forever thankful for it.
Completing my degree has been an incredibly rewarding journey. There were times when I doubted myself and faced setbacks, but I remained focused on my end goal. The key to my perseverance was maintaining a strong sense of purpose and breaking down the challenges into manageable steps. During tough moments, my husband's encouragement and my children’s words, “Don’t give up, you are strong, talented, and determined,” kept me going. Their love and belief in me pushed me to keep striving. Today, I’m proud to see that persistence has led me to this moment of achievement.
[My instructor] Dr. Janet Andrews is an amazing instructor, always there and very caring. Dr. Andrews was always there when I needed her.
